Kita village

Kita village in Nantan City, Kyoto prefecture. Japanese traditional rural house whose roof is made of thatch.

Kita village is designated as the Preservation District for Groups of Historic Building.

If you visit Kita village, you should go to The Little Indigo Museum. You can see the traditional house from inside. The owner is Mr Shindo, who is an artist of Indigo dyeing.
